" 그는 작업실에 홀로 앉아 아름다운 보석을 만들고 있었다.
아버지의 따뜻한 말을 떠올리며, 그를 깊이 사랑했던 아버지의 말을...
그리고 감히 고백하지 못했던 아름다운 소녀에 대한 자신의 사랑도 생각했다.
누가 '괴물' 같은 그를 사랑할 수 있을까? "

제2부 : 작업실의 고독
[3]
Alone in his workshop,
Ignatius worked tirelessly throughout the day, as he always did, crafting jewelry.
Ever since that old accident—when a game he played with his little sister accidentally set their house on fire, killing his parents and sister—he had been the sole survivor.
Although he survived, the fire left deep scars and disfigurements on his face, making the villagers uneasy and earning him the cruel nickname:
“The Monster.”
Despite the tragedy, Ignatius persisted in working in his father’s workshop.
Even though the fire had marred his body, he never forgot
the tender echo of his father’s voice,
a love that burned like a quiet flame, fierce yet kind:
" Ignatius, my beloved,
fire is not to frighten,
nor to harm—
it is the hand that reveals the gold within.
Do not shrink from its warmth,
for it shapes the treasures of our hearts.
Treat it with care,
yet understand…
it is the jewel of our craft,
a flame to cherish,
a secret kept between love and skill.
And know, my child...
There may come a day
when pain sears through your soul
like fire on bare skin.
Do not flee.
For this is no curse—
this is Heaven’s whisper,
a sacred invitation
to be reshaped,
refined,
reborn
as a Masterpiece
etched in eternity".
He mastered the craft, perhaps even more than his father.
His creations looked like museum pieces from ancient Rome or heirlooms of royal families.
People from the village and nearby towns were forced to buy from him, despite seeing him only as a “monster.”
On his desk, inside a wooden box inlaid with gold and diamonds, lay a ring he had painstakingly crafted, a masterpiece that looked like it belonged to a princess from an old legend.
But Ignatius never sold it; he kept it, hoping for the day he could place it on the hand of the quiet, beautiful girl he loved but had never confessed to.
Whenever she passed his workshop, her gaze seemed tender, unlike anyone else’s.
All he knew about her was her name.. ' Elara'.
Through her eyes, he could feel comforted, forgetting the harshness and cruelty of the village—eyes that spoke to him in silent messages only he could read.
But could it really be possible that this gentle girl loved “the monster”?
